A Tiny House Dream Realized

My fiancée and I have been living the tiny house life for over 2 years now. When we first began dating, both of us were excited to learn of our mutual interest in small house living, among other things. Like many dreamers, we merely window shopped for quite some time before we finally decided to go for it. Once we began the process, we realized that it was not going to be nearly as easy as we had hoped. We hit every possible roadblock or hurdle along the way, and we came very close to giving up.
Finally, we caught a break and made our dream cabin possible. We then realized that this was not just some "happily ever after" event, but that this lifestyle change was going to require some serious dedication and commitment!
When I say lifestyle, I mean that this really is a complete lifestyle for us. We were tired of the standard formula for life: Graduate from high school, then college, get married, buy a nice house in the 'burbs with a white picket fence, have two SUV's, have two kids, work a unsatisfying career for 40 years to hopefully retire young enough to still play golf once a month.... and so on.
None of this was for us. We want to live a fulfilled life that is not saddled with debt and expectation.
So why live in 200 square feet? You'll be amazed at the benefits of it when once you open your mind to it.

In this blog we will share some of our ideas, frustrations, and hard-earned tips living the tiny house lifestyle. Maybe you might want one too.

Our cozy cabin in the woods.

Yep, it's portable.
